Coupons for Free?

I seen this show on TLC, "Extreme Couponing". Seeing these people saving such large amounts of cash was equivalent to earning a part time income or better. I am a skeptic at heart so I had to do my own investigation of this. For coupons to improve my quality of life a few things had to be true:

• Very little time spent clipping coupons.
• Filing all coupons near effortless.
• Tracking all local stores sales simplified.
• Filtering all current deals to utilize just the best.

It didn't take long clicking around to find a few services that do most of those tasks. Having a service matching coupons with local store deals is much better than my family spending 25-70 hours a week doing the research.

Las Vegas

Having a service is fine, but will it be enough? After all, I live in Las Vegas none of the stores around here do double coupons like the Extreme Coupon(ers) on TLC. I have spent much more than the $20/month on other services, and I can cancel if it doesn't pay for itself. So, I "invested" the 20 bucks to find out. Here is what happened:

2. Week - learned to combine coupons with store sales - saved $243 and had $19 in store cash credits
3. Week - saved $229 and up to $25 in store cash credits

Did I get anything of value? You tell me, (10) boxes of name brand cereal, (2) $42 bottles of calcium supplements(free), (10) Right Guard body wash(free), (10) Advil, (5)$9 contact lens solution(free), the list is growing. We live in an apartment and thus lack the room to go Extreme with a large stock pile. You can see that my ROI on my $20 investment has really paid off. In fact, as I write this I am about to take my daughter to Disneyland next week with the money I have saved.
